Career launchpad for young tech talent

Dynamic DNA graduates Mulalo Kaneki, Yvette Rashilo, Alfred Malope, Shoiab Butt and Repo Leshego Talane.

When Prudence Mathebula founded Dynamic DNA, a Dynamic Technologies group company, her goal was to uplift and empower previously disadvantaged learners, particularly women, and provide them with the opportunity to enter the ICT space. At the same time, she knew she would be filling a skills gap with well-rounded graduates boasting both the technical abilities and the soft skills needed to succeed in the business world.

The opportunities provided by Dynamic DNA are numerous and the learners and graduates work hard to make the most of them. For those graduates who have passed through Dynamic DNA’s programmes, the positive impact on their career trajectory and personal as well as professional development is undeniable.

Mulalo Kaneki, now employed as a Salesforce Developer and Administrator at Weelee, says, “The comprehensive training and guidance I received at Dynamic DNA were exceptional and have been instrumental in my professional development.” Kaneki adds, “I’m especially grateful for the work environment training. The guidance on handling conflict and bullying in the workplace was crucial in overcoming challenges I faced, and it allowed me to navigate professional situations with maturity and professionalism. I now lead projects independently, conduct boardroom meetings with experienced managers, and even discuss projects with the CEO. Dynamic DNA has transformed my life. This journey has just begun for me, and I’m committed to excelling in my goals and helping others who are in the same position I was in.”

Dynamic DNA focuses on an essential mix of technical and soft skills, reasoning that all the tech know-how in the world won’t help if their candidates are unable to integrate into the workplace. Yvette Rashilo was enrolled in the NQF Level 4 and NQF Level 5 Learnership Programmes through Dynamic DNA and recently signed his first contract with Bluespec Holdings. Describing it as a lifechanging experience, Rashilo says, “This training enabled me to gain the skills that got me employed, and I was also taught how to conduct myself in interviews and in the workplace.”

Alfred Malope enrolled in the Systems Development NQF level 5 Programme and achieved numerous certifications, including CompTIA Security+ Certification, Oracle Certified Associate, Java SE 8 Programmer, Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Fundamentals, and Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals. These accomplishments would not have been possible without the support of Dynamic DNA, and from stock controller to his role as a Software Engineer Intern at BBD, Malope is making the most of his journey.

He says, “An event that stands out during my time at Dynamic DNA was collaborating on a group project to build a web application. This taught me invaluable lessons in teamwork, problem-solving, and effective project management. It solidified my passion for technology and reaffirmed my decision to pursue a career in this field.”

Shoiab Butt, a cyber security intern, recently completed the Dynamic DNA Systems Development NQF level 5 Learnership. His passion for coding led him to this opportunity, where he connected with like-minded people and achieved significant milestones. Now a permanent employee at a cybersecurity company, Butt says, “The guidance from facilitators was crucial to my success, ensuring I acquired the necessary knowledge and qualifications to pursue my career.”

Inspiring learners and motivating them to keep learning and invest in continuous professional development is one of the reasons Dynamic DNA is so successful at changing lives. Recent graduate Repo Leshego Talane says, “I focused on refining my skills through Dynamic DNA’s NQF Level 5 System Development Programme, delving deep into programming and coding concepts. This initial experience was a strong foundation for my career growth and I’m gaining valuable experience as a Software Development Intern at BBD.”

Committed to continuous learning, Talane also pursued certifications in Azure and Java through Dynamic DNA. “These broadened my knowledge and opened new opportunities for me. I’m passionate about leveraging technology to address complex challenges and I’m eager to contribute to projects that push boundaries and redefine possibilities in software development. I wouldn’t be where I am today without Dynamic DNA.”
